One of the reasons that I love painting on stone is because each stone is a new canvas!
Instead of always working on circular stone, Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg provide a bounty of unique shapes- some irregular, some angular and some perfectly round.
I love that the shape of the rock can determine what may go on the surface- I also like the challenge of orienting the subject to make it visually pleasing.
I may print the same sayings or subject, but they never look the same.
This aspect of rock painting keeps the days full of fun and are not at all monotonous!
This summer, pick up some stones and give it a try!!!
